HELLO THERE, A very good morning to one and all and welcome to Thursday’s commuting liveblog.

Paul Hosford here, I’ll be with you until after 9am as another working week comes to a close.

So stick with me for all the latest traffic, travel and weather information from across the country.

Morning everyone. It’s Friday, it’s lovely out (in Dublin, anyway) and we’re here to get you to work.

We start in Limerick, where AA Roadwatch reports a crash has closed part of the Hospital to Caherconlish Road.

Weather-wise, I’ve already mentioned that it is lovely out in Dublin.

I am not even a bit chilly this morning and I keep a hot water bottle on my desk.

Met Éireann says today will be mostly cloudy with some rain in Connacht and Ulster. Temperatures will reach ten to 13 degrees.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with further patches of rain or drizzle.

Here’s how things look in Dublin. It’s heavy on the north quays (when isn’t it?0 and around Kevin Street. Other than that, it’s moving as normally as you’d expect.

If you’re driving in Galway and can avoid Bothar an dTreabh, do so.

Here’s what it’s doing in the area.

Elsewhere in the city, it’s busy by NUI Galway, on the Headford Road and on the Lough Atalia Road.

Heading south, Cork is busy around the Dunkettle Interchange (surprise, surprise), on Watercourse Road, on Patrick’s Street and Parnell Place.

Clontarf Street by the Clarion Hotel is very heavy, as is the Blackrock Road.

More traffic light problems.

In Dublin, AA Roadwatch reports they’re out at the N81 Tallaght bypass at the Avonmore roundabout and at the junction of the Old Blessington Road and Castletymon Road.

Be careful in both areas.

On the roads and rails, everything seems to be running without any major delays.

Also, good news if you’re heading away for the weekend – Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports report no delays this morning.

Spoke too soon about the rails being on time. Luas red line services are delayed.

Look at Dublin right now:

That’s a lot of red and a lot of drivers not having the Friday feeling.

Right all, that’s it from me.

Just to let you know that the crash on the M1 has been cleared, but traffic is slow.

Wherever you’re headed, be safe and have a wonderful weekend.
