Don’t do this while driving.

The AA reporting a dog loose on the N25 Waterford/Cork Road – westbound at J2 Little Island. The gardaí are on the way but be sure to drive safe on approach.

The AA also have multiple reports coming in from Louth:

There are reports of debris on the M6 heading west between J18 Portlaoise and J19 M8.

Gardaí were also dealing with a crash on the Old Dublin Road (R132) in Dundalk near Louth County Hospital. Take care on approach.

Right, let’s get to Dublin traffic.

Things are looking congested inbound at North Strand already, all the way back to Fairview Park (and it’s not even 7.20).

Sticking with inbound on the northside, things are also looking busy on the Swords Road up as far as Drumcondra Road.

And the finish off the tri-force of busy northside spots, there’s also traffic building on the Phibsboro Road, from Doyle’s Corner back to Hart’s Corner.

The AA is also reporting that it’s slow inbound on the N4 Lucan Road.

Busy southbound on the M50 – traffic moving okay northbound so far.

It’s busy already on the North Quays from Ormond Quay to Bachelor’s Walk.

Also busy along the Grand Canal eastbound from Ranelagh Road to Leeson Street.

In a word? Busy.

Careful in Dublin, there are multiple reports of an incident on the Rock Road inbound after the junction of Mount merrion Avenue – bus lane completely blocked.

AA Roadwatch reports that it’s busy both ways over the Christy Ring Bridge.

Busy approaching the Dunkettle Interchange.

Take care for that dog that may still be loose on the N25

Galway

AA Road watch reporting that traffic is moving well so far in Galway – light across the city centre.

Limerick

Traffic moving well in Limerick also at the moment.

Maybe people just don’t want to get out of bed yet?

More reports of that incident on the Rock Road.

The inbound lanes now completely blocked after the junction of Mount Merrion Avenue. Traffic is going into the outbound lane to pass.

AA Roadwatch have traffic very busy on the N7 Naas Road inbound from J4 Rathcoole past J2 Kingswood. Reports of an earlier breakdown there that was cleared.

GOOD NEWS!

The dog has been safely removed from the N25 in Cork.

Cold have been a rough morning for the little guy.

It looks like the Rock Road incident has seriously affected traffic.

Live Drive report that it’s back to Temple Hill now.

Here’s the view from Mount Merrion Avenue.

This long-running saga has had many dips and dives – is this the end of it? Probably not…

Okay, looks like that incident has been cleared from the Rock Road. Traffic still busy though.

MORE DOGS ON THE LOOSE.

The AA are saying that there are dogs loose on the N76 Kilkenny/ Callan Road at Ballymack Cross. Be sure to take care in the area.

There are dogs on the loose, multiple crashes and heavy traffic all across dublin. Wouldn’t you know it’s a Monday?

So, what are the main stories today?

We’ve got Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil due to meet again today in a bid to break the current deadlock.

Over €1.2 million was spent deploying gardaí at Shannon Airportlast year, while a further €180,000 was spent on the Defence Forces.

Talks between Luas drivers and management will resume today to try to resolve their long-running pay dispute with the next strike planned for Thursday.

Galway and Cork have made the most claims for humanitarian assistance funding following flood damage.

Everything else you need to know is over at the 8 at 8.

It’s congested all along the North Quays.

It’s busy inbound on the N17 Tuam Road from Two Mile Ditch to Bóthar na dTreabh junction.

Delays inbound on the Corbally Road from Shannon Banks.

It’s busy on Athlunkard Street also.

Traffic also picking up on the Dock Road and it’s getting busy on O’Connell Avenue from the Childers Road junction.

The dogs in Kilkenny have been safely removed from the road.

That’ll put your tail wagging.

AA Roadwatch reporting that the debris on the M7 Dublin/ Limerick Road southbound between J18 Portlaoise West and J19 M8 has been cleared.

Still busy at places on the M50 – but things have calmed down a bit as we head towards that 9am time.

So it’s still busy on the Rock Road inbound after that earlier crash.

Slow in Dublin city centre from Dean Street onto Kevin Street and through to Cuffe Street.

Traffic is also slow on James’ Street on to Thomas Street and through to Christchurch.

Still busy inbound from Fairview through North Strand.

Still busy on Drumcondra Road and Phibsboro Road as well.

Also still busy on the North Quays.

So, yeah, traffic is still fairly busy across the city.
