Man charged with manslaughter after Meath stabbing

One man appeared in court today over the death of a man in Rathmolyon, Co Meath, yesterday.

ONE MAN APPEARED IN Trim District Court earlier today in connection with the death of a 25-year-old man in Meath yesterday.

David Mazur died after being stabbed at a house in Rathmolyon, Co Meath, early yesterday morning.

Gardaí had arrested two people yesterday, but later released one, aged 59, without charge. In a statement this morning, gardaí said a file is being prepared and will be sent forward to the DPP.

The second man, Mariusz Jarosz, 29, of Fitzherbert Wood, Navan, Co Meath, appeared in court today charged with manslaughter. RTÉ reports that the judge remanded Jarosz in custody with consent to bail. He is due to appear before the court again next week.
