Man arrested after cannabis and cocaine worth €250,000 is seized

A number of houses in Limerick were searched yesterday.

A MAN HAS been arrested after gardaí seized cannabis and cocaine with a street value of almost €250,000 in Limerick city.

Gardaí found the drugs during searches at a number of houses in the Limerick area yesterday.

During the course of a search of one house in Moyross, gardaí discovered cannabis resin with an approximate street value of €19,500, cocaine with an approximate street value of €12,500 and cannabis herb with an approximate street value of €215,000 (all subject to analysis).

A 31-year-old man was later arrested and is being detained at Henry St Garda station under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

During the search of another property in Kileely, €10,050 in cash and cannabis resin with an approximate street value of €100 was also seized.
