GARDAÍ ARE CONTINUING to question two men as part of their investigation into the murder of criminal gang boss Eamon Kelly.

Overnight, a man and a woman who were also being questioned have been released. The previous day, another man and woman were released after being detained for questioning.

On Friday, Sean Connolly (34) from Bluebell in Dublin, was charged with the murder of 65-year-old Kelly, as well as IRA membership and possession of a firearm.

Gardaí will decide whether to charge or release the two men today, they told TheJournal.ie.

Kelly was shot dead on Furry Park Road in Killester in north Dublin on Tuesday 4 December. He later died in hospital.

After the shooting, a black Lexus car with a registration 96-D-27994 was found partially burnt out at Stiles Court in Clontarf.
