Man who wrote Ebola on Aer Lingus coffee cup set for court appearance

The man is believed to have written “Attentione Ebola” on the cup.

A MAN WHO sparked a security scare at Dublin Airport yesterday will appear in court today.

The 56-year-old man will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am today, having been arrested yesterday for writing “Attentione Ebola” on a coffee cup on a flight from Milan to Dublin.

Gardaí from Ballymun were called to the scene of the incident shortly after 1pm.

There were 142 passengers on board at the time.

The flight attendant notified the captain who immediately contacted the Dublin Airport Authority. The Airport Police placed a cordon at the aircraft which was parked at stand.

Two women also arrested were released without charged.
