If we're out of recession, should we rent Eddie Irvine's old pad?

It’s only €7,500 a month, you know.

HE DIDN’T END up living in it all that long but the bang of Formula1 playboy off Eddie Irvine’s old house in Dalkey persists.

The five-bedroomed luxe property is up for rent again – and it will only cost you €7,500 per calendar month if you are so inclined. (Well, we are out of recession, right?)

It takes up 5,000 sq ft of the hillside setting on Sorrento Road, the very heart of des-res area in Dalkey, South Dublin, has sea views, landscaping, electric gates off a private driveway, sauna, jacuzzi and plunge pool with bar area. The letting agents note that “rent allowance not accepted”. You don’t say.
