Biography

First elected to Galway County Council in 2004, he is also a former mayor of Galway. He challenged unsuccessfully for a national seat in the 2011 general election. He is a member of a number of council committees and is vice-chairperson of the Inter County Rail Committee.

I have a proven track record in representing people. It is essential to bring strong independent representation for Galway East to Dáil Éireann.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

To influence policy that will ensure economic revival of Galway East and by extension ensure economic revival of rural Ireland nationally.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Review of CAP to ensure a fairer distribution of grants to small family farms.
