Biography

Garvey was elected as a councillor at the 2019 local elections. She has held fundraising events in the past for Ennistymon Hospital and Lahinch playground. Garvey has also sourced funding for Tidy Towns, Mens' Sheds and National Bike Week events. She works as a Green Schools travel education officer at An Taisce's environmental education unit.

Why should someone vote for you?

Rural Ireland needs a strong, strategic, green voice in the Dáil and I will work effectively to seek better services and infrastructure for the families, businesses and farmers of Clare.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Make Clare the number one sustainable tourism destination in Ireland that will increase jobs and economic stability across the county while protecting the environment.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Move a motion in the Dáil for a strategic plan to develop a network of safe pedestrian and cycling greenways across Ireland, which will work for leisure, tourism and commuting needs and provide opportunities for further income for farmers.
