Biography

Linehan-Foley has been an Independent councillor for East Cork since 2014. She was first elected to Youghal town council in 1999. She unsuccessfully ran as an Independent candidate in the 2016 general election. She resigned from Fianna Fáil in 2014 after she did not secure a nomination on the party's general election ticket. She served as mayor of Youghal town council for three terms.

Why should someone vote for you?

I am an experienced public representative at local level. I am aware of the current issues in the area from working here and I want to take the next step to national level.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Tackling the housing issue - not just the lack of social housing but also to secure affordable housing for the community.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

I will start as I mean to go on - I want to continue what I am doing locally, on a national level.
