Biography

Gould has been a councillor on Cork City Council since first elected in 2009. He unsuccessfully contested the 2016 general election in Cork North-Central and also ran in the 2019 by-elections.

Q.

Why should someone vote for you?

I have a very good track record - I highlighted the issue of housing back in 2009 and I was dismissed as trying to create hysteria. If I had been listened to, we would not have a housing crisis now.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Housing - 70% of the problems I deal with relate to housing. Beyond social housing, I see the problem of people who get jobs and come off the waiting list for council housing, but can’t get mortgages.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

I want to tackle the waiting list and trolley crisis and I want to work to stop the neglect of Cork North-Central.
