Biography

Sinn Féin, in its current incarnation, was founded in 1970 after a split which also led to the formation of the Workers' Party. It is unique in that it is politically active in both Northern Ireland and the Republic where it is the third largest party in the Dáil. It is a left-wing, nationalist party.
