Paula Desmond

Constituency: Cork South Central

Labour have nominated Councillor Paula Desmond to run alongside Ciaran Lynch in Cork South-Central. Desmond has been politically active at a local level since her election to Cork County Council in 1985. In 1999, she ran unsucessfully as the party's Munster candidate for the European elections when she was eliminated on the final count. She was re-elected to Cork County Council in June 2009.
