Former Ceann Comhairle John O'Donoghue is one of Fianna Fáil's candidates in the three-seat Kerry South constituency. O'Donoghue has served as the constituency's representative since 1987 and was appointed as Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform from 1997 to 2002. O'Donoghue was forced to resign his position as Ceann Comhairle in October 2009 following newspaper revelations about his travel expense claims during his time as Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism.



 

Did you know?

O'Donoghue studied law at University College Cork and practised as a Solicitor before entering political life.
