Marcella Corcoran-Kennedy

Former councillor Marcella Corcoran Kennedy has been selected by Fine Gael as one of the party's candidates in Laois-Offaly. Corcoran Kennedy hails from a family with a long history in local politics; both her father and her grandfather served as councillors. She was elected herself to Offaly County Council in 1999 and served there for ten years until her defeat at the polls in June 2009. She was formerly an employee of the ESB.

    So, her one claim to fame is that her father and grandfather were politicians.
    Sorry, but we need fresh blood, not people who have had their snout in the trough for generations. And her number one priority is to have local roads upgraded. This is a job for county councillors, NOT TDs. has she not been listening that people want an end to parish pump politics? Obviously she hasn’t been paying attention. No vote from me.
