THE ST PATRICK’S Day programme of Taoiseach Enda Kenny has moved to the west coast of America.

Following yesterday’s meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden in Washington DC, Kenny will visit the states of California and Washington over the next two days.

Following a 7.30am breakfast meeting with members of the Global Irish Network, the Taoiseach is set to visit the office of Yahoo and McAfee in Silicon Valley.

The visit comes on the same day as the two companies announced 260 new jobs in Dublin and Cork.

After meeting with Enterprise Ireland client companies in Palo Alto, he is then set to head to the Irish Cultural Centre in San Francisco for a reception.

Yesterday, the Taoiseach met with film director Steven Spielberg, with a view to increasing the number of big budget Hollywood movies made in Ireland.

Tomorrow sees Kenny in Seattle, Washington, where he will meet Irish Business Network Seattle, as well as representatives from community groups.

He will also meet the Irish company, Surewash.
