Junior Park Run: Every Saturday around the country, you’ll find a 2km junior parkrun for kids. It runs alongside the official adults’ parkrun and is a brilliant opportunity for the whole family to get out and exercise.

National Biodiversity Week: The annual nature-focused festival winds up this weekend, with fifty free events happening nationwide, all with a view to connecting families with nature. From bat walks to beekeeping, you’re bound to find something near you.

Battle For The Bay: Dollymount Beach is transforming into a weekend long playground for kitesurfers, wakeboarders, volleyball players and other professionals as they battle for the title of best in class. Head along and watch the action.

Irish Sign Language Tour of the Botanic Gardens: Learn all about the fascinating plant life in the Botanic Gardens through the medium of ISL (Irish Sign Language) this Saturday.

Mini Beast Hunt: Cork Nature Network is running a workshop in Beaumont Quarry & Caves this Saturday to teach littlies all about the mini-beasts that live there. They’ll find and examine these tiny animals and learn why they are so important.
