Man found dead after accident on Clare farm

The Health and Safety Authority has been informed.

GARDAÍ IN CLARE are investigating after a man’s body was found on a farm.

The man’s body was found near machinery on the farm in Shragh, near Doonbeg yesterday.

It is believed the man, in his mid 50s, was injured while working on machinery and attempted to make his way back to his house.

His body was discovered shortly after 7pm and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Limerick County Morgue. A post mortem is scheduled to take place.

The Health and Safety Authority has been informed.
