Fidelity's institutional chief Boyce Greer dies in kayaking accident

The head of institutional investments for Boston-based Fidelity Investment, Byce Greer, has has died in a kayaking accident.

THE HEAD OF institutional investments for Boston-based Fidelity Investments has died in a kayaking accident in Idaho, US, at the age of 55.

Boyce Greer was pronounced dead at the scene after being injured while kayaking on the North Fork of the Payette River, reports Bloomberg.

Greer was promoted to head of institutional investments at Fidelity Asset Management and vice chairman of Pyramis Global Advisors earlier this year. He was known to be a keen outdoorsman, reports the International Business Times.

Spokesman for Fidelity Vincent Loporchio said: “The entire Fidelity family is deeply saddened and will greatly miss him. Boyce was more than just an accomplished business leader. He was an admired and greatly respected manager, colleague and friend.”
