Fire breaks out at Blackrock Clinic

The fire was brought under control quickly by the Fire Brigade.

A FIRE BROKE out at Blackrock Clinic this evening.

A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed that three units of the DFB attended the hospital due to the small blaze.

DFB said an evacuation of the hospital took place as a result of the fire.

A spokesperson for Blackrock Clinic said that a small fire had broken out but an evacuation wasn’t necessary.

It is believed the small electrical fire broke out in an operating theatre on the fifth floor.

The fire was extinguished and the incident under control by 8.30pm.

No one was injured in the incident.

The DFB spokesperson said that it is standard procedure to evacuate the building in the case of any fire breaking out.
