PASSENGERS ON THE 2pm flight from Philadelphia to Atlanta yesterday were treated to some seriously delicious customer service.

The Delta Airlines plane was diverted in mid-air when thunder storms in Georgia made it impossible to arrive on schedule.

Instead, the captain landed in Knoxville, Tennessee, where passengers faced another long wait on the runway.

Rather than letting mass air rage take over, the crew used a time-honoured crowd-pleasing strategy – free pizza.
