GERRY ADAMS HAS offered to act as a go-between for anyone who wishes to pass on information about the 2013 shooting of Garda Adrian Donohoe.

The Sinn Féin leader and TD for the area was speaking after the anniversary mass for the garda detective.

The 41-year-old garda was killed during an armed robbery in Louth. There have been no arrests and no charges brought in the investigation to date.

However, gardaí have taken thousands of statements relating to the case, and reviewed over 400,000 hours of CCTV, as part of a major investigation.

“I would again appeal for anyone with information to bring that information forward to An Garda Síochána or the PSNI,” Adams said.

If people are nervous about doing this they could pass the information to me and I will pass it on to the relevant authorities.

“There is a duty on anyone with information to bring that forward to ensure that his killers are brought to justice.”

RTÉ News reports that Garda Commissioner Nóirín O’Sullivan said ‘very significant process’ has been made by gardaí investigating the case, but details need to be accurate before any action is taken.

She appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
