Gerry Adams: I've given the guards names of alleged IRA sex offenders

GERRY ADAMS SAYS he has given gardaí the names of alleged IRA sex offenders thought to have been moved to the Republic – but declined to disclose how many.

In an interview with this week, Adams said that in his statement to investigating gardaí he was confident he had given them all of the information he had about abuse in the Republican movement.

We also asked Adams whether the controversies arising out of the Maíria Cahill case had damaged his reputation and whether he has thought about resigning as Sinn Féin president because of it:
