Going green: Landmarks across the world honour Ireland

TO CELEBRATE THE island of Ireland for St Patrick’s day, a host of famous sites across the world have ‘gone green’.

From the pyramids at Giza to Abbey Road in London, a touch of green has saluted Ireland’s national holiday – with more than 100 landmark buildings and iconic sites turning a shade of green for Tourism Ireland’s 2014 Global Greening initiative.
