It’s been exactly one year since the current crop of TDs took their seats in Leinster House for the first session of the current Dáil. Here’s what’s happened over the year in photographs.

IT’S EXACTLY ONE year ago this week that the current crop of TDs took their seats in Leinster House for the first session of the current Dáil.

It would be hard to top the drama of the preceding government but the new Dáil has had its fair share of drama. There have been visits from some of the most powerful people in the world, tensions between the coalition partners, Inkgate, Piggygate, scraps between TDs and the Ceann Comhairle – all the while as the government negotiating the country through the terms set by the troika bailout and imposing harsh austerity conditions.
