The week has gone from bad to worse for Instagram

Problems with the latest update include a bug which stops people from logging out or switching their account.

AFTER DEALING WITH people freaking out over its decision to make its feed chronological, Instagram is dealing with another problem: people can’t log out.

Those using the iPhone app have noticed the Log Out button, which usually appears at the bottom of settings, has disappeared. So too has the button allowing users to switch between different accounts.

The Android version doesn’t seem to have been affected by the same bug, which only affects the latest iOS version 7.19. That version arrived earlier this week.

For those who have only one Instagram account, it’s not a big deal, but those who use multiple accounts, they’re currently stuck on the one account. Some have figured out a way to log out but it involves going into the web browser on your phone and logging out that way.

At the very least, Instagram has acknowledged the problem and said it’s working on a fix.

Instagram has been dealing with people’s reaction to it introducing non-chronological timelines. The change won’t come into effect for another few months but that didn’t stop people from panicking.

Some have asked their followers to turn on notifications, saying they would end up missing them when the updated feed arrives.
