Introducing... the Burger King Bacon Sundae

Meaty dessert being made available across the US this summer.

FAST FOOD FANS across the US are in for a meaty treat – Burger King has announced the nationwide release of a new bacon sundae.

The meaty ice cream involves a base of vanilla soft-serve ice cream being drizzled with chocolate fudge and caramel sauce before being topped with bacon crumbles and garnished with hardwood smoked bacon.

The dessert weights in at 510 calories, 18g of fat and 61g of sugar.

The sundae was initially served for a limited time period at Burger King branches in Nashville, Tennessee, but clearly proved enough of a hit for the chain to extend it across the US.

However, it won’t be appearing in Irish branches any time soon – a spokesperson for the company told TheJournal.ie today that the dessert is not being made available in Ireland.
