Soon your iPhone will be able to tell you where you've parked your car

Finding your vehicle in a packed car park is going to be that little bit easier.

WHEN YOU’RE IN a large car park, remembering where exactly you parked can be a bit of a nightmare.

The next version of iOS will automatically remember a vehicle’s location at the end of a journey. Spotted by AppleInsider, it happens when a car is parked in a place that isn’t the user’s home.

The car’s location will show up on Apple Maps as a recommended location, and a user can also see the location without having to unlock the phone.

iOS 10 will be made available to every iPhone model going back to the iPhone 5. The update will include a number of changes such as new features for iMessage, a redesigned lock screen and notifications, and third-party support for Siri.

A public beta will be launched in July while the official release will likely arrive in September, shortly following Apple’s iPhone launch event.

Google Now on Android also offers a similar function. Users can activate it by going into Customise > Everything Else > How do you usually get around and changing it to Driving.

It’s likely that Apple’s version will work in a similar manner.
