SOME PEOPLE WERE alarmed by the sight of military planes flying over Dublin earlier this afternoon.

At first glance the formation appeared to be the sight of a large plane being escorted.

This, needless to say, sparked some fear.

These were actually the Air Corps’ four tour training aircraft and a larger maritime patrol plane, practicing for the upcoming Bray Air Display.

A spokesperson for the Defence Forces said that Casement Aerodrome was the form up point for the planes.
