Low paid Irish Life workers to get 7% pay rise
Almost 1,000 staff will get a rise and a lump sum payment.
NEARLY 1,000 STAFF at Irish Life are about to get a pay rise and a lump sum of €1,500.
It comes after member of Trade Union Unite voted to accept a Labour Court recommendation which will see their pay increase by 2-7%.
The 7% increase will be for lower-paid clerical staff.
The once off lump sum is compensation for the abolition of a long-standing profit-sharing scheme.

The agreement followed extensive engagement at the LRC and Labour Court.
Unite Regional Officer, Colm Quinlan, said:
This deal means that €5 million will flow into the pockets of Irish Life workers in the current year – and that, in turn, represents a significant injection of cash into the economy.
