Body of missing James Stafford recovered from river Boyne

The death of the 33-year-old man is being treated as a personal tragedy.

GARDAÍ HAVE CONFIRMED that the body of a man who went missing last week was recovered from the River Boyne in Drogheda earlier today.

James Stafford, 33, went missing from Moneymore in Drogheda on 29 June with gardaí issuing an appeal for information regarding his whereabouts yesterday.

A search conducted by gardaí and the Irish Coast Guard led to the recovery of James’s body from the Co Louth river today at around 3.30pm.

It is understood that his death is being treated as a personal tragedy.
