New jobs for Cork and Dublin across five growing firms

The 147 new positions were announced by the IDA and Minister Richard Bruton this morning.

FIVE FIRMS ARE to create 147 new jobs for Cork and Dublin, it has been announced this morning.

Described as fast-growing companies by IDA Ireland, 10Gen, Loop1 Systems, Whitehouse Analytical Labs, IMSTech Gmbh and PE Lynch are all planning for new positions across a range of sectors, including ICT, medical technology, financial services and digital media.

  • 10Gen is creating 40 jobs as it establishes its European headquarters in Dublin;
  • Loop1 Systems is planning for 17 new jobs in Cork;
  • Whitehouse Analytical Labs needs to fill 35 positions in Cork as part of its first international expansion;
  • IMSTech Gmbh, a provider of manufacturing solutions for the life sciences sector, is to establish a research and manufacturing competency centre in Cork with the creation of 35 highly-skilled jobs;
  • PE Lynch, a producer of algorithmic trading software for banks and brokers, is to establish its European headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 20 new jobs.

As part of today’s announcement, Etsy, an online marketplace for handmade and vintage items, also revealed it is setting up its EMEA HQ in Dublin.

According to Minister Bruton, part of the Government’s plan for jobs and growth is “ensuring that we attract more fast-growing start-ups and emerging companies to locate in Ireland, so that they establish deep roots here from early in their growth and make a substantial impact on our economy.”
