ALL FOUR PEOPLE detained in connection with an armed robbery on a cash-in-transit van at a petrol station in Dublin last weekend have been released.
The van was held up at around 4.15pm on Saturday afternoon at a filling station on the Long Mile Road. A lone masked raider, who was armed, approached an employee who had been collecting cash from the premises.
Three men and one woman were detained in relation to the robbery. The arrests were made on Monday after Gardaí searched a number of houses in south Dublin in a planned operation. A large amount of cash was recovered as well as a firearm.
Gardaí in Crumlin have now released all four, and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the investigation.
