THE ORGANISERS OF the Love Ulster march say that they want to come back to Dublin in early 2015.

The march attracted rioters in 2006, when it made its way down O’Connell Street, which was undergoing construction work.

Organiser Willie Frazer said in a video posted last night that he was not worried about what dissident Republicans said.

“They’re a bunch of dangerous psychopaths. I’m sure that the gardaí will intervene. Make no mistake, we’re coming to Dublin.”

Frazer goes on to criticise the Irish government for asking the European Court of Human Rights to revise its judgement in a case over controversial interrogation practices by the British security forces in the north.

“You people talk about human rights and equality. Let’s see some for the victims in the border counties.”

Frazer said that the march would not come to Dublin if the Irish government engaged with “the issue of justice for the genocide” carried out in the border regions.

They think we’re fools and we’re going to sit back and take this. But we’re not politicians and we’re certainly not fools and we’re not going to take this from the Irish government.

We’re coming to demand justice and justice we will get sooner or later, one way or the other.

The 2006 march saw 14 people injured in rioting in the capital.

Sinn Féin had called for the parade to be allowed pass off peacefully, but the more radical Republican Sinn Féin had organised a presence.

Rioters attacked gardaí and a coach carrying marchers.

Around €50,000 worth of damage was done to the O’Connell Street area.
