A load of Luas stops will be out of commission for two months from tonight
A LARGE SECTION of the Luas Red Line will be closed off from this evening for at least two months.
The closures result from the Luas Cross City works that will eventually see the green and red lines intersecting next to O’Connell Street.
The final seven stops eastbound will all be shutting from tonight at 9pm. They are: Abbey Street, Busáras, Connolly, George’s Dock, Mayor Square – NCI, Spencer Dock, and The Point.
A replacement bus service will be in place for the coming months, with a new stop located within walking distance of the closed Luas stop in question.
Buses will start on Bachelor’s Walk near Jervis, serve five stops along the quays before terminating on Castleforbes Road near The Point. The return service will start on Mayor Street Upper near The Point, serve four stops along the quays and before terminating on Crampton Quay across the Liffey River from the Jervis stop.
The location of these new bus stops can be accessed here.

People buying tickets from ticket machines should do so either to or from the Jervis stop.
A ticket for the bus service is not necessary, however a valid tram ticket is.
Those with leap cards should touch on or off at the Jervis stop, not on the bus which will lead to them being charged for the bus journey also.
