1. A woman has been taken to the National Isolation Unit in the Mater Hospital after falling ill following her return from Nigeria. Tests for Ebola are to be carried out but reports indicate that her risk is ‘low‘.

2. THERE was some good news for Donegal today with the announcement of 500 jobs for Dungloe. They will be created over the next six years in a Randox Teoranta plant.

3. THE so-called bonus culture at Irish Water is still making headlines. This time, it’s the turn of Richard Bruton to insist that it is “not a matter determined by government”.

4. MAÍRIA Cahill has called for Gerry Adams’ resignation in the wake of her claims that the IRA covered up her alleged sexual abuse. She described the Sinn Féin president’s behaviour as “beyond reprehensible”.

5. ACTRESS Lynda Bellingham – best known for her Oxo ads and being a panel member on Loose Women – has died. She was 66.
