1. AS GERRY ADAMS spends his third day in police custody, the daughter of Jean McConville has said she is prepared to name the people who she believes were involved in her mother’s murder.

3. BANKS have been reassuring customers that wages and payments which were due to enter accounts yesterday will definitely appear today instead. The problem was that yesterday was a SEPA holiday, apparently.

4. MORE than 160 allegations of sexual abuse by Catholic priests were reported to the church’s child protection watchdog in the past year.
