Man (60s) arrested following death of man at north Dublin house released without charge

A MAN IN his 60s who was arrested following the death of a man at a house in north Dublin has been released without charge. 

Shortly after 12.30am on Saturday, gardaí and emergency services responded to a call at a residence on Brookwood Heights, Artane.

A man in his 30s was treated at the scene before he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene and detained at a Dublin garda station. 

He has since been released without charge. A garda spokesperson said a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The scene remains preserved and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place later today, which will assist gardaí in determining the course of the investigation.

A senior investigating officer has been appointed, a Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) assigned and an incident room established at Clontarf garda station.
