Man arrested over shooting of boy (6)

Sean Scully was shot in a house in the Ballyfermot area in June.

A MAN WAS arrested over the weekend in relation to the shooting of a six-year-old boy in Ballyfermot.

The boy, Sean Scully, was shot in the neck in a house in Ballyfermot in June of this year.

He was brought to Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin for treatment.

Gardaí said today that a man was arrested and detained under the Criminal Justice Act on Saturday.

He was in his 20s.

The man was released on Sunday evening and a file will be sent to the DPP.
