Man injured following shots fired at houses in Dublin overnight

The man in his 30s was taken to hospital but has since been released.

ONE MAN has been injured following two incidents in which shots were fired through the windows of two homes overnight.

At approximately 11.10pm shots, possibly from a shotgun, were fired through the window of a house in Lissadel Road in Drimnagh.

Three people were in the house at the time, but no one was injured.

About ten minutes later shots were fired through the window of a house in Walkinstown Drive.

There was five people in the house at the time and one man in his 30s was injured.

He was taken to St James’s Hospital but his injuries were not life threatening and he has since been released,

Gardaí have sealed off the scenes for technical examinations. They said that a silver car may have possibly used at the first shooting incident.

Investigations are ongoing say the gardaí.
