Man rescued from Co Clare coast

A man has been rescued from the waters around Co Clare after his dingy capsized earlier today.

A MAN HAS been rescued this evening after his dingy capsized off the Co Clare coast.

The man was angling alone in a small rubber dingy near Kilkee at about 2.30pm this afternoon when his vessel capsized, the Valentia Coast Guard told TheJournal.ie.

A person on a nearby cliff saw the incident and immediately contacted the authorities.

The man was then rescued and airlifted to hospital in Limerick.

No word has yet been issued on his condition.
