FIREFIGHTERS IN ARIZONA have rescued a man who got stuck in his chimney for four hours after losing his keys.

The 26-year-old man became trapped after trying to gain entry to his house via the chimney.

A neighbour raised the alarm after hearing him shouting for help.

Members of the Tucson Fire Department attended the scene and used a rope to rescue him.

The man became stuck as the diameter of the chimney narrowed as he got closer to the fireplace. His feet were touching the floor of his house.

The man hugged his rescuers after the incident. He did not appear to be injured and was medically evaluated at the scene by paramedics.
