Man to appear in court over Swords assault

Gardaí have asked anyone who may have videoed an attack in Swords to send the video to them.

A MAN WILL appear in the morning charged with a serious assault in Swords yesterday.

The man, who is in his 30’s, had been detained at Coolock Garda Station in relation to an assault yesterday afternoon that left a man in a serious condition in hospital.

He is set to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street tomorrow morning charged in relation to the incident.

Earlier today, gardaí appealed for witnesses, particularly those who may have been videoing the dispute.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was on Lower Main St Swords yesterday afternoon to contact Swords Garda station.

They also made an appeal to the Nigerian community in the area to come forward with any information.
