POLICE IN ENGLAND have arrested two more men overnight as investigations into the bombing of the Manchester Arena last Monday continue.

22 people lost their lives in the attack, carried out by Salman Abedi, with more than 60 injured.

A 19-year-old man was last night arrested at an address in Gorton in Manchester following searches there and in nearby Rusholme.

A further arrest of a 23-year-old man was subsequently made in the early hours at an address on the south coast of England, in the town of Shoreham-by-Sea.

The man is being held for terrorism offences, while a police presence remains in place at the address in the coastal town.

Further searches are likewise ongoing at properties at Whalley Range in Manchester and at a property in the city of Chester, some 45 miles further west. No arrests have been made at either of those addresses.

Manchester police yesterday released CCTV footage of 23-year-old Abedi prior to his detonating the bomb that devastated the foyer of the Manchester Arena, and gave details of the bomber’s final hours.

A flat at Granby House in Manchester centre is now believed to have been the final assembling place for the explosive device.
