3-year-old becomes fourth child to die in Manchester house fire

A LITTLE GIRL who was in a critical condition following a house fire in Manchester has died in hospital.

Formal identification has yet to take place, but it is believed to be 3-year-old Lia Pearson.

Her brother and sisters Demi (15), Brandon (8) and Lacie (7) also died in the fire, which broke out at around 5am on Monday 11 December on Jackson Street in Walkden.

The children’s mother, Michelle, is currently fighting for her life in hospital.

Two teenage boys managed to escape from the house uninjured.

A man and a woman in their 20s were charged yesterday with the murder of the first three children.

Zac Bolland, 23, of Blackleach Drive in Worsley, has been charged with three counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder and one count of arson with intent to endanger life.

Courtney Brielery, 20, of Worsley Avenue in Worsley, has been charged with the same offences.
