Gardaí investigating after man's body found in Co Meath

The body was discovered in Agher, Co Meath shortly before 10am yesterday.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body yesterday morning. 

The body was discovered in Agher, Co Meath shortly before 10am.

A garda spokesperson said the body has since been removed to the mortuary at Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

“The outcome of the post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation,” the spokesperson said.

The local coroner has been notified and a technical examination of the scene is ongoing.
