Meanwhile 24-year-old Tomás Maguire from Ardara in Co. Donegal was killed when the vehicle he was driving crashed 200km south of Perth on Monday.

The Irish Echo, Australia’s Irish Newspaper, reports that Mr Maguire had been travelling to work at a local farm in Wickepin in the early hours of the morning when his pick-up truck rolled over. The vehicle was found five hours later by a passer-by.

He had emigrated from Donegal to Australia in February.
