THE MAYOR OF Poznan is set to visit Dublin next week to celebrate the opening of an exhibition of photos depicting the best moments of the invasion of the Polish city by Irish fans.
The open-air exhibition will be on display in St. Stephen’s Green from 19 July and will remain there until the end of the month. It follows on from a billboard campaign in Dublin organised by the Poznan mayor, thanking the fans.
Ryszard Grobelny, Poznan’s mayor, will also hold an open meeting with Irish soccer fans on 18 July at 7pm in O’Donoghues Bar on Merrion Row in Dublin:
I am proud that all European fans, especially the ones from Ireland, felt so good and safe in Poznan, and I would like to say big thank you to all of them by bringing those beautiful images of themselves supporting their national colours in Poznan.
