Missing mother found after leaving newborn baby at London hospital

POLICE IN THE UK have said a woman who went missing shortly after giving birth to a baby boy has been located.

The 35-year-old woman went into the hospital on Wednesday night and have birth to a healthy baby boy by caesarean section at 4am the following morning.

On Friday morning she left the hospital, leaving her newborn behind. It was believed she left in the company of a man and police had appealed for help tracing the woman, stressing that they were concerned for her welfare.

In a statement today police said the woman was found safe and well in the early hours of this morning. They thanked the public for their assistance.
