Man arrested after woman's body found in Naas

Gardaí have arrested a 47-year-old man in relation to the incident.

GARDAÍ IN NAAS, Co Kildare are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a 47-year-old woman in a house at Lacken View, Naas on Sunday 19 August.

A 47 year old man was arrested today in relation to this incident and is currently detained at Naas Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A post mortem has been concluded at Naas General Hospital by the State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy and the results have been made known to investigating Gardaí.

For operational reasons gardaí are not disclosing details at this time.
